Isaiah 431 But now, this is what the LORD says-he who formed you, O Israel: “Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have summoned you by name; you are mine.
2 When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze.
3 For I am the LORD, your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior; I give Eypyt for your ransom and Seba in your stead.”
As I walked through the city park today in Ashland with Olivia, Mandi (one of her friends), my nephew, and my sister-in-law, this was one of many beautiful scenes that caught my eye!
After getting home and reflecting on the memories of the day, I pulled up this picture. As I looked at it and then read the Scripture above, I felt thankful!
Thankful that whether we are……………
Passing through the water,
Or passing through the river,
Or walking through the fire,
We will not be harmed.
WHY?
Because the Lord of Israel is our God!
Nick had a good day today! He was able to spend the afternoon with Tim (my husband), his Uncle Gary, and all of his brothers along with several friends playing poker (of all things) while we took the little ones to play in the sun!
(THEY DO NOT PLAY FOR MONEY…JUST FOR FUN!!)
Isn’t God amazing!?!? Nick is doing normal things every day!!!!!!!!! Praise God!!!!!!!!!

In December of 2007 as our youngest son, Nick, was fighting brain cancer, I began to blog. Writing provided a way for me to release all of my questions, fears, and doubts. It also allowed me to share the ups and downs of Nick's journey with people who were praying for him all over the world. When Nick went Home in November of 2008, my blog became my way of searching for God in the midst of my deep heartache. My heart was broken and grief brought to the surface every emotion imaginable. Being able to release those emotions through my writing brought a sense of purpose to my pain. Having already walked the road of grief in 1992 when we lost our daughter to SIDS, I knew I needed a way to keep from falling into a pit of depression and despair. I had walked close to the edge of a bottomless pit when we lost our daughter,and I knew I couldn't let myself get that close to the edge again. This blog has been and continues to be my tiny corner of the world where I can share My Heart as I journey through God's Word.......thus the name........ My Heart His Words. Thank you for taking time to share life with me. If we do not meet while here on earth, I look forward to hearing all about your life when we reach our final destiny.........Heaven! There is just one thing that stays constant in our lives as our circumstances and the events of our days change and that is the whereabouts of our Lord–He is ALWAYS with us. Thank you so much for the reminder. Praying

Over and over I am so amazed by the strength that God gives you and the peace that I hear in your words. Your journey through cancer has been so different than ours and yet there are similarities… I remain SO very thankful that God brought our paths together…. I have such a deeeeep love and respect for you.
May God’s great grace and strength continue to carry you through each and every day. May you feel His right hand of victory holding you up. May you always know and feel the prayers of those that are praying for you. We love you Tammy… far beyond what our words can say.
